All of my classes draw upon the ancient traditions of yoga bringing forth the philosophy of Patanjali’s eightfold path. These eight limbs form the structure of all of my classes:
1. Yamas – ethical standards & integrity
2. Niyamas – self-discipline & spiritual observances
3. Asana – postures
4. Pranayama – breath awareness
5. Pratyahara – withdrawal of senses
6. Dharana – concentration
7. Dhyana – meditation or contemplation
8. Samadhi – bliss
From here I love to layer our foundation with the five great elements, astrology and mythology to serve up an offering that takes my students on a deep and transformational journey.
Our classes are non-competitive and suitable for everybody. They are infused with diversity and a strong emphasis on soul alchemy. Each class allows you to listen to your body and move in a way that feels right for you. I offer a warm and welcoming environment full of love and laughter, a safe and sacred place to practice at your own pace and experience your own journey.
All classes are held at the Town Hall in Hornsea (see timetable at the bottom of the page) which has plenty of parking. Our beautiful studio has underfloor heating and ample space. All you need is an open mind, a willingness to learn and a good sense of humour. Please note that during lockdown all classes will be held online. Book as usual and you will receive all details via email to join our sangha virtually.
