Take a deep breath in and a long sigh out… ahhh can you feel it? Spring is finally here!
Spring officially arrives with the Equinox, which takes place this year on Friday 20th March but as soon as we wave goodbye to February you know its not far away.
It is so wonderful to finally start to see nature reawaken and grace us with her glorious colours. I love all of the four seasons and take full advantage of the ‘fattening period’ that winter actually is. Hibernating, resting and doing lots of self-study. There is no greater time to dive deep into yourself than when the days are short and nights long and dark.
However, I am well and truly ready for longer days, to feel warm sunshine on my face and immersing myself in the garden. As we journey now into March we will be focussing on wringing out the winter sluggishness in our practice and really prepping our bodies so that we can transition with ease into Spring when the Equinox arrives. A lot of you are joining me for our annual workshop that will really amplify these teachings and I am looking forward to welcoming Spring with you all soon.
The energies of this next lunar cycle are that of Pisces. The healing qualities of the water element are well and truly at play. Pisces is a highly sensitive sign, dreamy and all about the woo. It is inviting us this month to get creative, visualise our plans and manifest our dreams into reality. This is also the last sign of the zodiac so is a great time to tie up loose ends that this astrological year has brought, to cast your gaze back over the last 12 months and release anything that you no longer wish to carry forward into this next phase. We have the full moon this week which will aid us greatly and we will be harnessing her power in class.
It is a beautiful month ahead of endings and beginnings and I look forward to guiding you and riding these celestial waves together.
Affirmation: “I trust the Universe. It gives me exactly what I need at exactly the right time.”
This is important when we are manifesting our dreams into reality. To relinquish control and trust in the knowing that all will unfold exactly as it should at exactly the right time.
Do not give up hope or lose faith.
Keep showing up.
Commit to your practice.
Set your intentions.
Listen to your heart.
Remembering to enjoy the journey as that is also the destination.
When you feel stuck, are feeling lost and impatience is rising to the surface then repeat this affirmation to yourself. Anchor these words into your heart-space and trust that all is manifesting as it should.
When you are fully aligned with your heart then all will be well.
Aroma: Oils for Spring
For me, Springtime is all about the citrusy, flowery, energising aromas.
Scents to uplift the soul and reawaken the senses and arouse you from your winter slumber.
I always reach for lemon oil in Spring. I use it for cleaning the surfaces in the house, drinking lemon juice in warm water to cleanse my body and diffusing this oil to quite literally put a spring in my step.
Here is a great diffuser blend to use that will deliver just that.
2 drops of Lemon
2 drops of Wild Orange
3 drops of Grapefruit
1 drop of Lime
Springtime… right there!
